Pupils at Lobley Hill Primary School are expected to wear the uniform specified below every day throughout the academic year. Children will be expected to have a PE kit in school for their allocated PE session. This should remain in school. PE shoes can be left in school, or your child can bring trainers into school on their PE day. PE kits will be returned at the end of each half term but parents are welcome to ask children to bring them home more frequently for washing, if you prefer. A letter will be issued in the autumn and spring terms to notify parents/carers of the allocated days for their child’s PE sessions.
SCHOOL UNIFORM
- Black school shoes, black trainers (no coloured embellishments) or boots. Velcro fasteners are helpful for Early Years.
- Black or grey trousers, skirts or pinafore dresses (No leggings, jeans, cycling shorts or sports trousers including jogging bottoms) Pull-on styles are easiest for Early Years.
- Sky blue polo tops (with or without school logo)
- Royal blue cardigans or jumpers (with or without school logo)
- Blue and white summer dresses or black/grey school shorts
- Black, white or grey socks or tights
Jewellery:
- We promote children’s physical development throughout our curriculum and as such we have taken the decision to not allow earrings in school at all. This includes retainers. Any child arriving in school with earrings will be asked to remove them immediately. (At the discretion of the Headteacher, if children have had their ears pierced over the summer holidays, they will be permitted to wear earrings until the October half term. This should enable sufficient healing time. During this time, however parents MUST cover the earrings for school and the child will be unable to take part in PE sessions. After this decretionary period ends children will need to access the full curriculum, including PE and therefore no earrings are allowed on any day).
- No jewellery is permitted with the exception of religious bracelets.
- Children are not allowed to wear smart watches in school. A Fitbit or similar gadget that counts steps only is fine, but any smart watch/device that is able to send/receive calls or messages or take photographs is treated the same as mobile phones and are not allowed to be used on site.
Please label all items of clothing and show your child where they can find their name.
School has changed uniform supplier to Logos Unlimited and you can access the website via the link. Please click through here to see where the store is located. This change will help parents/carers to save delivery costs and give the opportunity to check on sizes and view all items available. Please note that School does not make any profit from the sale of school uniform.
If you are struggling financially school will be able to help out with second hand uniform which has been donated to school. We will also set up tables of uniform in the summer term where parents/carers can obtain second hand uniform free of charge.
