At our school, British Values are woven into everything we do. They are closely linked to our core values of We CARE: Co-operative, Achieve, Respect and Enjoy, which guide how we learn, work and treat one another.
We encourage every child to be creative, unique, open-minded and independent, while showing kindness and respect towards themselves and others. We help pupils understand the importance of being part of our school community, our local community and the wider world.
We want every child to grow into a confident, caring, responsible and respectful individual who understands the importance of democracy, tolerance and fairness. Through their time at Lobley Hill, we aim to give children the knowledge, skills and values they need to make positive choices and contribute positively to society.
British Values are reflected throughout school life, including in our curriculum, policies, relationships, behaviour expectations and everyday interactions. Through our teaching and the way we work together, we provide children with opportunities to explore and understand the values that help our communities thrive.
Our aim is simple: to help every child become a kind, confident and responsible member of society who respects others, values difference and makes a positive contribution to the world around them.
